Speech therapy wherever you live in Quebec

Our only clinic is at Marché Central in Montréal, but our speech-language pathologists work with families across Quebec by telepractice. Sessions take place by secure video, with you or your child at home, and follow the same clinical approach as our in-person sessions: a careful assessment, clear goals, and strategies you can use in daily life.

All clients in Quebec are seen by speech-language pathologists registered with the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ).

What we offer online

  • Assessments of speech, language, stuttering, voice and literacy, adapted for online use
  • Individual therapy for children, teens and adults
  • Parent coaching, including approaches from the Hanen programs, for toddlers and young children
  • Support for bilingual and multilingual families, looking at all of the languages your child uses

Some needs, such as certain swallowing assessments, are better done in person. We will tell you honestly when that is the case.

Families in Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières, the Saguenay, Abitibi, the Côte-Nord, the Gaspé and other regions can have the same services online, without travelling to a large centre.

English-speaking families outside Montréal

English-language speech therapy can be hard to find outside Montréal. Our team works in English, in French and in many other languages, so your child can be assessed and supported in the languages they actually use.

How it works

  1. Contact us by phone or through our contact form. Tell us your concerns, where you live and the languages your family uses.
  2. We match you with a speech-language pathologist whose experience and languages fit your needs.
  3. You receive a secure video link. All you need is a computer or tablet with a camera, a stable internet connection and a quiet space.
  4. Your clinician starts with an interview and an assessment, then discusses goals and a plan with you.

For more about how sessions work, what to prepare and how we protect your privacy, see our telepractice page.

Getting started

You do not need a referral. Call our Marché Central clinic at 514-467-9132, or request an appointment through our contact form and mention that you are interested in telepractice. We provide receipts for private insurance.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to live near Montréal to work with VoxLingue?

No. Telepractice lets us see clients anywhere in Quebec, from Gatineau to Gaspé. If you live near Montréal, you can also come to our Marché Central clinic or combine in-person and online sessions.

Are your clinicians registered in Quebec?

Yes. Clients in Quebec are seen by speech-language pathologists registered with the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ).

Can you assess my child online?

Yes. Our assessment tools have been adapted for online use. For some concerns, your clinician may recommend part of the assessment in person, and will explain why.

We're on a waiting list for public services. Can we start with you in the meantime?

Yes. Many families start private sessions while they wait. Keep your place on the public list; we can share reports with your permission when public services begin.

Is online therapy available in English outside Montréal?

Yes. English-speaking families in the Eastern Townships, the Outaouais, the Gaspé and elsewhere in Quebec can have assessment and therapy in English, and bilingual families can work in both languages.

Will my insurance cover online sessions?

We provide receipts you can submit to your private insurance. Coverage depends on your plan, so check with your insurer whether speech therapy by telepractice is included.
